Jump, jump, jump. One day before I could turn around, Ella had turned her block tub over, climbed up and was jumping down. Boy, can she ever do squats, has good balance, and is not afraid of much. Recently I've started going to the gym working with a trainer, and what are we doing? Squats...working on balance...and all those things that one is able to do when younger.
Can you say chocolate? Ella is a lover of chocolate like most of us. She had been to the grocery store with her mom and had part of a doughnut as a treat the next day after she had eaten her lunch.
Ella loves the playground. We were playing...Ella went up the ladder to go down the slide and then said, "Grammy, come on up." I said that I couldn't, and then she looked at me and said, "Are you too old?" Well....
And then there is the ballerina Ella...more of these photos another day.
I flew home today from Virginia, leaving a part of my heart there. But never fear, I'll be going back soon in a few weeks!

It would be impossible not to leave your heart there!
She is just precious. . .but, then, you knew that, didn't you?
So glad she brings you such joy.
Wonderful photos, Beverly! You capture Ella's vitality and love.
Beverly these are fantastic pictures of Ella. She is certainly growing up right before our eyes and what a little beauty she is.
She has grown so much. She is a lovely little girl. You are blessed.

I always enjoy photos and stories about your beautiful little granddaughter.
I'm a chocolate indulger ( I had a Hershey bar for breakfast), and Ella knows the joys of chocolate too.
YUMMY stuff!!
The many faces of Ella. A divine posting!!!
What a doll :)
Love that line about you being "too old" Out of the mouth of babes !
Aw... to be able to do squats and eat chocolate. :-)
What a little princess she is. :-)
Lucky you to be able to go back in a few weeks. This ittle sweetheart will really know sho her Grandma is. She is growing so quickly. Love her chocolate "moosh".
Don't you wish we could relish that chocolate donut with such abandon and with no concern for the delicious mess on our faces or the pounds that will likely appear on our hips? I do!
I saw your picture of the plicated woodpecker and thought it was my picture. We have several out in the preserve and they are gorgeous! I took a picture of one the other day that is almost identical to yours.
English is a great language, and great conglomeration of many languages and a lot of mutated words. But I can find only a few words to express myself, when you start showing pictures of this beautiful, adorable, cuter-than-a-minute, precious child!
I know why your heart is there. She is so cute, and any girl who loves chocolate is a friend of mine.
I think it's terrific that you can visit your sweetie so often. And she is growing up to be such a lovely little girl. I love the chocolate donut picture. I'm sure Callum will look very similar on Sunday when he has his first taste of bithday cake.
She's a busy little beaver...cute as a button. I think Ballerina Ella is just too sweet. And...how's a girl suppose to eat chocolate without getting a little messy? Huh?
She could not be any cuter. Those cheeks are sooooo smoochable.
I have such a hard time not kissing Froggy all day. Her cheeks are also delicious. But now she actually WIPES my kisses away. Breaks my heart, but I try not to let it show. :)
She's just happy, happy, happy and so strong. What a dear.
Such a little sweetie! Did I see bare toes peeking out of sandals on top of the slide? Looks like it's warm in Virginia. Thanks for sharing little Ella with us once again.
I'm sure you've left your heart in Virginia. I would too.
