Humor for High IQ People

A friend sent this to me in an e-mail. It says it's for high IQ people. Some say tht puns are the lowest form of humor, but I love them.

I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger. Then it hit me.

I don't know about high IQ, but I found them very amusing - some in an AHA moment kind of way.

When I read the very first one I laughed so hard I got an "ice cream headache" from the head rush.

These are great. I LOVE these sorts of things. I wish I could thing of stuff like this.

I love word play. I also took a class in my senior year at the university (Eng. major) in comedy theory. Actually, language humor is the highest form; physical humor (e.g., slapstick) is the lowest. I don't know how either relates to I.Q., either, but I really do love language humor!

If you've never read any of Richard Lederer's books on this stuff, you have really missed out. Among the titles: "Get thee to a punnery," "Anguished English" and "More Anguished English," and "Crazy English." Great stuff!
